A Note from the Principal
Welcome home everyone! Homecoming is always such a wonderful time of the year. It's always great to see our alumni return and hear about what they have been doing with their lives. I am always amazed at how fast time goes. Students go from entering their first year of college to having several kids, and hopefully living in the district, in the blink of an eye.
I hope to see all of you at the Athletic Boosters sponsored tailgate tonight at 5:30 p.m. followed by the football game and then the "Welcome Back Lumberjack" party at the Dayton Country Club! We will also be hosting alumni tours Saturday morning at 10:00 am. We will kick off the tours in the "Pit"!
Go Jacks!

Students are strongly encouraged to attend to learn how to navigate the college application process. All students and parents are reminded that the OHS parking lots (i.e., the South lot and Schantz Avenue - both head-in on the stadium side and within school property on the Junior High side) are RESERVED PARKING DURING SCHOOL DAYS. We realize this is an inconvenience for our visitors, but we ask all parents and other visitors to not park on school property on school days until after 3:30 p.m. This includes the lunch hour. Our teachers may leave the lot at lunchtime and must return in time to teach. They must be on time; so please DO NOT use these limited spaces. Thanks to all for your understanding and cooperation. Parents are reminded to NOT double-park along Schantz Avenue when dropping off or picking up students. All parents are encouraged to drop off students along Dellwood and Spirea. Also, please DO NOT pull in to the South lot off Far Hills and drop off students in the morning. This has caused traffic to back up to the south on Far Hills resulting in very dangerous situations. Thanks to all parents and students for your cooperation. Needless to say, we encourage all students to either walk to school or be dropped off a block or two away. Lastly, all parents, students and visitors are reminded that parking in front of the OHS auditorium is NOT permitted. This area is reserved for emergencies and deliveries ONLY!
