Oakwood Schools is proud to announce that Alex Heid has been selected as one of the distinguished semifinalists in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Out of thousands of applicants nationwide, Alex’s exceptional achievements, leadership qualities, and academic excellence have earned him this prestigious honor.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President, recognizes and honors some of the nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. As a semifinalist, Alex represents the epitome of academic excellence, embodying the values of scholarship, leadership, and service.
Alex’s selection as a semifinalist underscores Oakwood Schools' commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and providing students with opportunities to achieve their full potential. His remarkable journey is a testament to the dedication of our educators and the support of our community.

As a semifinalist, Alex will join a select group of outstanding students from across the country who will be honored for their remarkable accomplishments. Dr. Miguel Cardona, the U.S. Secretary of Education, will announce the final selection of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars in mid-May.
