Seniors participate in clapout at elementaries

The class of 2026 participated in an Elementary Celebration Walk at Harman and Smith Elementary on Monday, May 11 after picking up their cap and gowns. Dressed in their full graduation ensemble, students walked the hallways of their old school. Principal Matt Salyer helped facilitate this moment after hearing students lament that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they did not get to participate in elementary festivities that marked their transition to junior high. "This is a wonderful opportunity for our oldest students to return to where their academic journey began and for our youngest students to see the success that awaits them. We are incredibly grateful to the staff and principals at Harman and Smith for their enthusiasm and collaboration in making this request a reality," Salyer said in a letter to parents.
